Anamaria Marinca, born in Romania, is an actress. She was awarded an award called the British Academy Television Award of Best Actress in The Channel 4 Film Sex Traffic. She speaks fluently French, German English, and Romanian. Her father, who is a professor of theater at one of Romania's top drama schools, is also a theatre teacher. The young Actor Gala Mangalia awarded her the Best Female Actor Award of 2000. The award was given to her as an European Shooting Star by the European Film Promotion Board in the year 2008. Alongside her impressive performance in her debut movie she will also remain in the memory of her role on her role in the Romanian movie "4 months 3 weeks and 2 days" which won her numerous awards including the European Film Award of Best Actress from the London Film Critics. She was the lead in Cristian Mugiu's Romanian film "4 three weeks and 2 days" (4 Months Three Weeks And Two Days) which earned her the Palme d'Or award at Cannes Film Festival 2007. The film also won two awards in addition, The Cinema Prize of French National Education System (FIPRESCI Prize) as well as the Cinema Prize. Youth Without Youth by Francis Ford Coppola was a different film where she starred. In 2008, she appeared as Yasim Angwar, the BBC miniseries of five episodes The Last Enemy. Marinca has appeared on her own Romanian drama Boogie as well as Oliver Hirschbiegels Five Minutes of Heaven. Later, she had a major performance in the 2014 film Fury where she portrayed the role of a German woman named Irma aunt of Emma.
