
Alexandra Rose Raisman, born May 25 1994, is an American retired gymnast who was an artistic. She was a two-time Olympian. She was the captain of both the 2012 "Fierce Five" and 2016 "Final Five" U.S. women's Olympic gymnastics teams. Both won their respective team competitions.At the 2012 Olympics in London she was awarded gold medals in the floor and team events, in addition to the bronze medal for the balance beam, which made her the most decorated American gymnast in the Games. She received a gold medal in team competitions at the 2016 Olympics. Gabby Douglas who was on her team also received gold. Raisman also earned silver medals in the individual all-around as well as the floor exercise. Raisman also won silver medals in the individual all-around and for floor exercise. She was also the two-time national champion in floor exercises (2012,2015), the 2012 national champion of balance beam, and a five-time gold medalist in all-around at national championships (silver and bronze in the years of, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2012, and the year 2015). She was inducted into The International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame in 2013.
